Teaching Career For The Past Five Years - 1283 Words

Professional Introduction I have been in the teaching career for the past five years. My most recent experience has been assisting with planning activities, supervising children, ensuring children s safety and managing classroom environments. Meanwhile, One reason I particularly I have also been responsible for communicating with my co-workers, supervisor, children, and their families. enjoy this career is the opportunity to connect with children that I love. What I loved best about being a teacher was teaching is an amazing profession. Every day I have the chance to motivate a student about the content, support them in their personal growth celebrating their successes and challenges. Joanna Gilman is business director and site facilitator is Kavita Hakim. Presently, there are 69 children enrolled at the preschool site. As a well-rounded educator, I have earned my 37 early childhood education units in the college and I have possessed associate teacher permit. I also got Montessori teaching credential in 2012. At present, I am pursuing Associate Arts degree in Early Childhood Education at Chabot College. I expect to transfer to a four- year college next year. I feel the most important characteristics of effective teacher are passion, perseverance, patience and creative. Passion motivates people to excel. People who are passionate about their work love what they do. They find purpose in their calling – a purpose that drives them to work hard, to learn along the way, and to achieve more than they have ever accomplished before. Their work challenges them and pushes their abilities to their limits. The challenge excites them. It forces them to think, to learn and to grow. And, amidst this excitement, it is almost as if their work becomes play. I have strong passion and enthusiasm whenever I teach young children. I believe what I am doing will make a difference. Social Psychology And Its Effects On Children s Mental...

People learn and gain knowledge through different experiences and these become our guidelines in interpreting future life and unfamiliar situations. These experiences help people to organize the world around them which then also influences their thinking and behaviors on controversial topics such as gender. However, how much are people aware that their attitudes are maybe more automatic than rather voluntary. Is it possible for them to get past their broad assumptions about others based on their limited experiences? There are different fields looking into this subject one of them is social psychology. Researchers have put together a test, Implicit Associations Test, which purpose is to gain more knowledge about people’s mental outlook on categorical associations. I personally wanted to see if I had unknown biases with gender and so I completed the Gender-Science IAT test. It took me around 20 minutes to finish this test and it should reveal if a person associates a particular gender more with science or liberal arts. The test was computed out of three parts. In the first part I needed to answer personal questions about myself such as gender, age, and ethnicity. Anyways, the second part of the test wanted me to answer question about how strongly I associated the different genders with science and liberal arts. Furthermore, it wanted to know my own personal standpoint with these two different fields.
